New Publication in Science & Global Security

Benjamin Jung and Malte Göttsche have published a new article on Assessing Uncertainty in Plutonium Production Estimates Based on the Isotope Ratio Method in Science & Global Security.
The isotope ratio method is a technique from the field of nuclear archaeology to reconstruct the amount of plutonium that was produced in a nuclear reactor. Benjamin Jung and Malte Göttsche apply a Monte Carlo-based framework for uncertainty propagation and show how to interpret the results in a manner that is meaningful for verifying fissile material declarations.
