Throughout the summer, NVD team members present their works at various international conferences.

Sophie Kretzschmar is presenting on Reconstructing nuclear histories: a field study (Sophie Kretzschmar, Malte Göttsche) at the INMM ESARDA Joint Annual Meeting in Vienna, Austria. There, Yan-Jie Schnellbach will also do a talk on Anti-neutrino Detector Concepts for Safeguarding Spent Nuclear Fuel Repositories (Yan-Jie Schnellbach, Thomas Radermacher, Irmgard Niemeyer, Stefan Roth, Malte Göttsche) and Max Schalz presents on Reconstructing Nuclear Fuel Cycle Operations with Nuclear Archaeology (Max Schalz, Malte Göttsche).

At the AMC Cross-Disciplinary Conference 2023 in Uppsala, Schweden, Sophie Kretzschmar gives a presentation on Nuclear verification research: bringing together social and natural sciences. Max Schalz presents Assessing Pakistan’s Fissile Material Production (Max Schalz, Erik Branger, Malte Göttsche, Sophie Grape, Cecilia Gustavsson, Robert Kelley) and Reconstructing Fissile Material Production with Fuel Cycle Simulations (Max Schalz, Malte Göttsche).

In September, Yan-Jie Schnellbach reports on Antineutrino detection concepts for safeguards monitoring of spent nuclear fuel (Yan-Jie Schnellbach, Thomas Radermacher, Irmgard Niemeyer, Stefan Roth, Malte Göttsche) at the research symposium on the safety of nuclear waste management safeND organized by the Federal Office for the Safety of Nuclear Waste Management (BASE).
